Check out project that isn't in use?!

Running project 2002 server and professional. A user's workstation crashed
while working on a project (i.e. had it checked out) and now after he's
restarted (and i've restarted the project services and IIS) the project is
still listed as being checked out.

Is there any way to clear it or delete the project?? I've tried deleting the
project through the admin tools but it says I can't because it's "checked
out".

I'd appreciate any help you all might be able to provide...the quicker the
better.

Regards,

go into sql server and open the Projectserver database,
then open the table MSP_PROJECTS and change the
PROJ_CHECKEDOUT field for that project from 1 to zero.

There is an option in the admin menu of web access.
Enterprise options -> check in enterprise projects. The
administrator can just manually check in projects. You
will probably lose the work the person whose machine
crashed was doing...

Good luck

Perfect!

I thought there must be a way to do it from the interface. Karen & Debbie,
thank you both for the timely help!!

Angela:

It may be an indication of underlying network issues. One thing you might
try is to encourage your users to execute orderly exits by always using File
Close before exiting the application.
