check value in cell

hello all,

if in cell a1 is (cat) then in cell B1 should be (miau), if the a1 (dog) then b1 (wow), and if a1 (cow) then the b2 (mu)

=VLOOKUP(A1;{"cat"."miau";"dog"."wow";"cow"."mu"};2;0)
or:
=IF(A1="cat";"miau";IF(A1="dog";"wow";IF(A1="cow";"mu";"")))

and change the delimiter if the formulas don't work for your language
