Checkboxes and Cell Color

I created a spreadsheet for everyone in my fantasy baseball league and was wondering if someone can help me out - I have a column (H10:H309) and I would like to put a checkbox in row of that column so that when the checkbox is checked, the next column over (I10:I309) which contains the baseball players names, changes the cell fill color, or font color, etc. something to quickly/easily let you know that player is no longer available.

For Example:

H10 I10
[ ] Dustin Pedroia

H10 I10
[x] DUSTIN PEDROIA

(I used all caps to indicate that by checking the box in H10, it caused a change to the cell color of I10)
