Checkin pending

Hi all,

I'm using Project sevre 2007 with SP1 and Pro 2007 SP1.
After each check in of the projects, they remians in checkin pending cache
status.

Can anyone help me with it? I have almost 450 users and they start to be
very annoying and I can't blame them.

Hi,

The jobs completed succesfully, all the other users can open it and can see
the changes.

I don't want to dlete the cache after every check in (I know that it will
help...).

I also get Checkin pending appear for many users. The only option to
fix is to delete the cache. Does anyone know why this is happening.
Its very annoying for the users. In summary, the work on the project,
close & checkin. The next time they use project the local copy says
"checkin pending". It will only open readonly until it has been
deleted from the cache.

I have the same issue. When I open the project with status of "check-in
pending" the program warns me that the project is opened in Read-Only mode.
Then I closed the project, re-open it again the entire Project 2007 program
stops working....

SP1 doesn't solve the problem, i have the same problem. When i close the project and re-open it, i see that the file is still on checkin pending, if i open it in read only and close it, the file can be open in read\write mode, or clean up Cache, or close the file as file save --> file close. There are too many resources, i can't tell them to do so...

We had same issue. But I know the workaround

Ask your user to do

File > Save ( Wait for status line to say Save Job Completed Successfully)
File > Close ( NOT EXIT). This will give the message to CHECK-IN the project
Wait for 5-10 seconds before closing MS Project and we have seen that this
way works.

I thought this was the solution a while ago and it did work. However when I
opened a project which hasn't been opened for 2 months, I got the same issue
back....... the "check-in pending" seems to be endless.....

I have been having the same problems and it is very frustrating. I have also
tried using close ant it seemed to work for awhile but not always. We have
to keep going in and clearing cache. Is it possible the local "cache" file
is corrupted? If so can it be completely deleted?

We are also having the same problem. We were told SP1 would fix it but it
hasn't. Have tried both methods of clearing cache and our users have been
told to always wait for the save and publish to complete then do file/close
(never 'x' out). Does anyone know if a real fix is in the works? My users
are becoming very frustrated as well.
