Checking In Projects - EPM 2003

Sneha Satish

Hi All,

I had opened one of the projects in Project Professional 2003 using the
project server account dialog. After making changes to the same, I had closed
the project. Subsequently my user id got changed and now when I am trying to
open the same project I see that it is checked out with my previous user id.
How do i check it in again?

Sneha,

Ask you Project Server administrator to check it in through Admin
section.

You can check in your own project by navigating to the Project Center page
and clicking the Check in My Projects link in the sidepane on the left.
Hope this helps.

Dale - I always appreciate reading your replies. I am wondering though on
the information about going to the project center and checking my projects
link if this would work. This has happened to me before and I could not
check in any of the projects that were checked out because the system saw
these projects checked out to my prior logon, which of course had changed.
If my password was the only thing that had changed I could see where this
would work; however, when the user ID changes I don't understand how this
could work. WOuld you mind helping me understand?
thank you
K

If the project is checked out under your other login account, you cannot
check it in using the link on the Project Center page. Your Project Server
administrator must check it in for you. Hope this helps.
