chgs on plans that affect security

Server 07, SP1 and infrastructure patches applied.

Have security settings so that user 1 can only see projects that he owns, is
a resource on, or a resource on the project's Project team is a descendant of
the User via RBS.

When project is created a resource is assigned that is a descendant of
User1. User1 can see project in project center. (good)

Project is modified by original owner (not User1) so that the resource that
is a descendant of User1 is replaced with a resource that is NOT a descendant
of User1. Now User1 goes to Project Center and they can still see this
project. If User1 looks at the project details and we look at Resource
Summary view the original resource is displayed in this view. If we look at
Assignment Summary view the resource is not displayed.

Why is this occurring? Based on security settings I wouldn't expect User1
to be able to see this project in Project Center any longer. But I'm
assuming since they are showing up in Resource Summary view, the original
resource is still attached to the project somehow. I must be
misunderstanding how this is suppose to work. I even tried logging User1
onto different computers around the office and get the same result.

Thoughts?

Thanks

L8rdays:

Removing the resource from the task assignment does not remove the resource
from the project team. Any member of the project team would have viewing
rights under the security configuration you describe. Try removing the
resource from the project team using the team builder and then republish the
plan.

Thanks!

That was it. I guess I didn't grasp the concept of "Build Team" I thought I
was just grabbing a subset of the resource pool, not realizing that I was
building my project team with this! DUH!!!!

Thanks a bunch! :)
