Choose From A Range

I have a range A1:A100 with a collection of different numbers. I want a
random number to be selected from the same and displayed in B1. The
CHOOSE(RANDBETWEEN(1,100),A1:A100) does not work and requires a manual entry
to be made of the whole array which is not possible.

Any advice???

More intuitive to use 1 - 100:

=INDEX(A1:A100,RANDBETWEEN(1,100))
