Chronic Drop-down menus

For the past month, whenever I am in word (and excel)the
drop-down menu appears on its own interrupting my work and
causing inadvertant changes in what is being down. The
menu most prevalent is the file menu. I have loaded all
microsoft updates, have new virus checking, changed the
mouse and reloaded the driver and I still have the
problem. The computer is a Dell and is less than two
years old. Has anyone had this trouble?

Is Speech turned on? (Tools > Speech)

This did the trick!!! I appreciate your help. Now all I
need to catch is the person who keeps turning the
microphne feature on.
