I used the Chr(128+[digitfield]) using the Wingdings font to put a circle
around a character. When I run the report from design view, this works.
When I run the report from the menu bar the fields do not show up. Am I
missing anything?

You didn't say how you used this. Did you just use an expression in a
control source or query or did you use code?
Please check your older, similar thread for a possible solution.
