Circular reference in DSUM

I am getting a circular reference in a DSUM in Excel 97.
Their are several DSUMs that are almost identical, and
only one gives me a circular reference. They all have the
same database range and field but refer to different
criteria ranges.

The DSUMs are contained within the database range, but 4
of them work fine and the 5th gives me a circular
reference.

Any ideas?

Almost impossible to debug circular references without seeing the actual
formulas and their cell locations. Please provide these details, or you may not
get any help. It's not that there aren't people who'd like to help, it's just
that they can't without sufficient details that only you could provide.

In your specific case, show all five formulas along with their cell locations as
well as the ranges corresponding to any defined names used in those formulas.
