Citations functions disabled? How can I enable them?

In my new version of 2007 Word, the citation and references functions are
disbaled and grayed out. in the trial version, they worked. Any suggestions
about how I can get them enabled?

You mean you entered a serial to upgrade from trial to full? Or did
you uninstall the trial and installed the full version.

If the latter is the case, then most likely something went wrong
during the installation. I suggest trying to do a reinstall (not
repair) of the software.
