I apoligise for repeating what other have already said
however i am reading conflicting answers and wish
clarification. I have office XP (Student version) on my
desktop, i bought this and then installed it, it is not
an "OEM" copy - can i put it on my laptop also? i realise
this has been covered but there seems to be conflicting
opinions. Thanks

Hi, Jonathan,

To clear up the issue, read the license agreement that came with your
product. If, for some reason, that doesn't help, you should contact a
Microsoft person rather than depending on peer support for this.

Call 1-800-426-9400, Monday through Friday, 6:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. (Pacific
time)
and ask to speak directly to a Microsoft licensing specialist. Worldwide
customers can use the Guide to Worldwide Microsoft Licensing Sites to find
contact information in their locations.

I've called them and have had good luck speaking with a real person for
free.

No you may not - read the EULA. The Students and Teachers Edition may be
installed on one system at a time - it costs 80% of the full Standard
licence - there have to be restrictions!
