Clean up project server database

I am trying to delete some de-activated accounts from project server using
"clean up project server database" in project web access, i select the
required account, insert a comment and choose delete, all i get is a message
saying request status : 106, why, i need rid of these accounts, help me!

Have you tried re-activating an account and then deleting it? If so, do you
still see the same error?

i have tried re-activating the accounts and deleting again, it gives me the
same message, request status : 106. I have searched the net for mention of
this message and can find non, have tried technet etc, any more ideas?
