Clearing clipboard in Windows 2007

When I use the paste command, I am getting old information, not the current
"copy" command info. Apparently, there is no "clear clipboard" feature in
the 2007 version. HELP, please.

There is a small arrow in the corner of the clipboard icon, click it. The
clipboard will open and you can clear it. There are options you can select.

Microsoft Office Word 2007 does not have the "clear" option. I already have
clicked on the icon and the selections are: "Keep source formatting," "Match
Destination Formatting," "Keep text only," and "Set Default Paste." In the
latter, there is nowhere where I find a selection that states "clear
clipboard" or anything synonymous with that.

I assume you found the small arrow on the corner of the clipboard icon on Word's
Home page?

1.Click the Microsoft Office Button, click Word Options, and then click
Advanced.
2. Under Cut, copy, and paste, configure the settings that you want to use as
the default behavior.

Yes, Mary, you assume correctly. I would not have solicited advice the first
time, if I hadn't already tried what you suggested.
