The email program NEO (basically an Outlook shell) uses views similar to the
Search Folders in OL2003. I tried NEO but prefer Outlook; however, there's
one very nice feature of NEO that I miss.
In NEO, when you've read a message in any of your custom views, you can hit
the spacebar while the message is selected, and it's "cleared" from the
current view. The msg remains in your Inbox, or whatever folder it's been
moved to -- just doesn't clutter up your custom view.
It's very handy. My main OL2003 view is a "Past 7 Days" search folder, and
it would be so nice to clear the emails I've already dealt with and/or
already organized in folders.
Hitting "Delete" in Outlook deletes the message not only from the current
view, but the actual message from the Inbox or any folders.
I've searched Outlook help and the MS site, but can't find anythng. Does
anyone know if there is a way to do this?
