Clearing tasks from timesheet

I cleared resources from tasks listed in our administrative project. Even after that, the tasks still show up in all those resources' timesheets; but I noted that the cells to enter actual hours are disabled. How can we clear these tasks?

I do not believe there is an option in the "Clean up the Project Server database" screen to remove specific assignments for projects that will remain on the system. What option are you suggestion that she use

Clean up does'nt work since PWA recognizes these tasks as 'deleted'.
But it also shows them up on the task list with a 'X' tag next to it.
