What would be the best way to learn how to use an image to enter data to a
table or form? I work in facilities and would like to develop a floor map
where users could click on thier office space on an image of the floor map.
By clicking on the floor map, data would be entered into a text field with
thier room number. (Users do not know thier room numbers.)
A less sophisticated way to do this would be to have buttons on a form that
would take you to different parts of the buildings. IE. south campus, then a
button for the 6th floor, then a button for south half of 6th floor, etc. You
could then arrive at a floor map where users could actually read the room
number of the office they are requesting maintenance for. They could manually
type this number into the access form. (Actually an infopath form connected
to access.)
Any suggestions.
