click on Word and get a previous listing, cannot delete or rid

I click on Word to write a document and get a previous book listing. I
cannot get rid of it or delete it. I was told it has something to do with
templates but I do not any knowledge of this. Need to work on word but need
help in getting this listing completely out of the system. HELP. Thank you
