Clip art and text

I have Word 2000.

I am trying to create a flyer and would like to use some clip art in it but
I cannot figure out how to type text over the clip art. So, my questions are
(1) how do you insert text over clip art and (2) how do you insert text
without blocking part of the clip art? I've tried a text box but it blocks
part of the art.

Insert a text box formatted as In Front of Text. On the Colors and Lines tab
of Format Text Box, set the fill color to No Fill.
