You do copy from the Office site. It is the third icon on each clipart picture.

I think it depends on how you get to the Microsoft's clip art. If you
do it from Word itself, going to Insert > Illustrations > Clip Art
using the Task Pane you can copy the art work. But if you go to the
Microsoft Website I can see that you can copy the clip art. I think
at the website you can only download.

Also, I've recently bought some clip art and each package is
different. So you have may have to read the instructions. Some have
there own browser and some just expect you to File Explorer (which
works pretty good if you don't have too many of them).

If you're going to some random website and seeing a clip art you like
and trying to take it (which may have copyright problems), that
website may have some type of protection in on it to prevent you from
doing that.

This is interesting. On my computer I can't copy a clip art from the
Microsoft website. In fact I didn't know what you were referring to,
but because I have a current ned to be using a lot of clip art and
graphics I decided to read the tips about clip art on the Microsoft
Web Page. One of the tips is about how to copy/paste from the website
and it shows the third icon you are talking about. But when I go to
the clip art, using my computer I cannot see that icon. I have a
notebook computer that is still less than a year old with Windows XP,
but I'm not using IE, I'm using Firefox, so perhaps that's the reason.

You are correct, with Firefox you cannot see the copy icon. I did not know this
until today. You could use IE when you visit the clipart site if you want to
copy.

I have copied and pasted clip-art for years from Publisher - now, I have
switched to a laptop and am doing everything the same way I used to, using
the same software, the whole nine yards - it is all the same except the
computer itself has been changed -- but now it won't let me copy -- the icon
to copy is there but it won't do anything when I click on it and it's not
going to my clipboard. Any suggestions? I have tried everything listed
under this question (its the only question I found that covers this problem).
Mary?? Anyone??
