clip art not working properly

I'm using a piece of MS clip art that is a drawn hand. I'm trying to make it
wave. I'm usually able to do stuff like this, but I can't get this one to
work. I have the hand transition in with a chime. The 5 other pieces of
clip art are on top of it and they have been set to appear after the previous
ones. They are all set to fade after showing. Everything else transitions
correctly, the chime plays, the none of the 5 pieces of hand clip art show.

I'm using PPT 2003, have appropriate virus checker...

hey! That works pretty good. My only problem now is that when it waves, the
background turns a different color. Any help with with that?

I pulled the picture into PPT and made it appear. Then I add the emphasis
effect (teeter). The "appear" shows up well. I've identified the white
background as the transparent color, but I can't do the same for the effect
picture (when I add an effect, it makes a second graphic in the Custom
Animation box). The background turns dark blue. I've changed the background
to white, thinking that white is the transparent color, but that doesn't
work. When I change the color to the background color, I then get a box of a
darker color around the waving hand.

Any help?
