Clipart for earlier version of Publisher

Is there a way of amalgamating/obtaining the clipart from
earlier versions of Publisher to use with 2002 version.
Some of the images are much more suited to our use than
the current ones. Would like to get the clipart for
versions 97, 98 in particular to add to documents. The
images used for these versions of the clipart seem less
garish than the ones used and there are more family
orientated drawings than in the later version.

The current clipart can only be described as absolute garbage along with the
crap thingie they call the ClipArt gallery.

You can find nothing functional and nothing common or useful. You do a
search on something as basic as balloons and birds and nothing comes up.
The clipart included from Publisher 1.0 to Publisher 97 was great.

You previously had all that great WMF clipart that had a multitude of
descriptions to come up in the search and you could use the *excellent* MS
Draw 1.0 and 1.01 to take it apart and manipulate it and join parts of two
images together to make one etc.

When MS loose the plot they *TOTALLY* loose the plot completely.

Peter,

You can use the older clipart with the new Clip Organizer. If you still have
the clipart on your machine, I would recommend that you:

1. Go to Start > Programs > Microsoft Office Tools > Clip Organizer
2. In the Clip Organizer, go to File > Add Clips to Organizer
3. Choose either Automatically or On Your Own. You can have the Organizer
scan your entire system for the older clipart, or have it scan your CD's
that have clipart on them.

You can also use the older clipart gallery with Publisher 2002 if you like.
There is an add-on available for free download from my site to add this
older feature back.

Finally, you can make sure that your Clip Organizer is set to look online as
well as you hard drive when searching for clipart. This will add many more
clips to your results.

Post back if you have further questions.

If you have the Gallery still on your computer, in your application, insert, object,
scroll down to Microsoft Clip Gallery
