ClipArt on 2007

Is 2007 seriously lacking much ClipArt? It seems my XP version had a stack
more!! Or am I missing something?

Cliparts are automatically retrieved from Office Online. Where have you
been looking for them?

I realise they can be obtained online, but they used to come on the
installation CD, well at least, some ClipArt. The Office XP version had a
separate Media Content disk that contained oodles of them.

The 2007 version CD has only a limited number, so I installed the Office XP
Media Content again. Not everyone has got broadband and I think to include
as much ClipArt on a CD wouldn't be too much to ask for the money spent each
time we need to update the programs.

BTW, does the RibbonCustomizer cost $29.99 US? Does installing it slow down
the programs at all?

Starting with Office 2003 MS chose to offer the clipart online instead of
media content disk....

Yes, it does.
V1.0 slows the apps down noticeably while they are loading.
V1.1 is a lot faster and you probably need a stop watch to notice that
it has a small impact on load time of an app. 1.1 is currently in beta.
A new, hopefully the final beta build, will be on my site today. I am
actually right now uploading it. Before I'll make it available though,
I'll have to give this particular build a final test on a bunch of
different operating systems here.
