Clipart Organiser

People,

I have recently put Office 2003 on to my laptop, an
upgrade from Office XP. I also have a desktop with
Office XP & Publisher 2000. Since the clipart collection
that came with Office 2003 was fairly basic, I thought I
would install the clipart from my Publisher 2000 disc by
selecting just the clipart on the advanced custom
settings. Should that work?, since the problem I am
having is that Publisher 2003/Clip organiser does not
recognise the clipart installation and alternatively when
I try to add them manually, no categories or keywords are
carried across to the Organiser either. When I look at
the properties of the newly added clipart in Office 2003,
I notice that the catalogue file path and name is not
even close to the name or path of the Clipart picture,
whereas the catalogue path and name are the same in
Publisher 2000. (Does that make sense?)

Is there a problem with the older clipart catalogues with
the newer versions of Office or am I missing something?

Your hopefully,

Jason

You need to install Clip Gallery to use the Publisher 2000 Clipart and
retain the Keywords. Clip Gallery uses the CIL format and Clip Organizer
uses the MPF format.

Unfortunately, Clip Organizer cannot use metadata from Office2000 clips,
although you can manually index the files if they're installed using the
File | Add Clips to Organizer menu.
