Clone Database-search reveales nothing

I hate to plug this one again, but on the premise that somewhere in the forum
there is an answer to my last response - - I have searched again, but have
come up with the same suggestions (which have not worked as expected).
So please bare with me as I try to get an answer to my question.
If there is an answer out there that I am missing, please give me the key
word to search for (I've tried "clone" and "copy" already).
Our problem:

We have used a search for this and have discovered (we thought) the holy
grail.
1.) create new database
2.) Click on FILE > Get External Data > IMPORT
3.) Navigate to the database that you want to clone
4.)Select all the tables, queries, forms etc you wish to import
5.)Select Definitions only (on tables, queries... that you do not want the
data with)
- - Set other OPTIONS as needed- -

We did all this - and everything works..... however, the data is still
attached to the TABLES we specifically asked for DEFINITIONS ONLY in the
OPTIONS tab.
How do we get 6 out of the 20 tables to show as blank tables (definition
only) and the others still have the data ?

I have started a new database again - thinking it was because I did not
follow one of the rules.
After I imported the first table as definitions only, I reviewed the new
database, and it still had the data with it.
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks for any advise.

Hi,

I am wondering if you understand that the "Definitions Only" setting
applies to all tables in that particular import? It is not a table-by-table
setting. So, if you want some with data and some without, you will have to
do two imports. One that imports those where you want the data. Then
another to import those where you do not want the data. If all else fails,
you could must make a copy of the file using Windows Explorer, then open it
up and delete the data out of the tables where you do not want any data.
