Close/Hide a Project

I have searched the newsgroups for this and keep running into how to do
things with tasks. I don't want to necessarily hide or delete any tasks. I
just want a way to drop completed PROJECTS from being viewed all the time. I
don't want to delete them. I don't want to remove the tasks or assignments.
I just want to be able to "close" or "finish off" an entire project so that I
can still have it for archival purposes but that it won't be gone forever.

CQ,

Here's one way to "drop projects from being viewed all the time".

Get your Project Server Administrator to add a new Enterprise Project
Outline Code called "Project Status" and assign appropriate values (e.g.
proposed, active, inactive, on hold, cancelled) to the Lookup Table.

Then, get the Project Server Administrator to add a new Project Center view
that filters the project listing using the new Project Status outline code
and eliminating all but the "active" projects.

Choosing this new custom view in the Project Center will then eliminate the
types of projects that you don't care to see--effectively allowing you to
"hide projects".

Yes, I have done this through creating a status in the
enterprise codes for closed projects and excluding them in
the current views. I created a view specifically for
closed projects which filters the projects by this
status. Additionally, all team members in the build team
from enterprise area are changed to proposed instead of
booked so they no longer see the tasks.
Hope this helps!
