Close project?

Hi,

I remember someone talking about closing out a project... how exactly do you
do this and does it remove the tasks from the users project area?

We have old projects that are marked as complete but they still show as
partially complete in project server.... i have republished with no results.
Will closing the project help here?

If you are using Project 2003, you can set the booking type to "Proposed".
This is a setting you will have to set for each resource in the affected
project.

I *think* you will have to 'republish all'. This will remove the tasks from
their PWA timesheet.

I have noticed one exception using this method... one of 5 projects I did
this with did NOT remove ALL of the tasks from the user's timesheet. The
remaining tasks are NOT listed in the "published" version of the project. I
suspect there is some type of corruption in this project that occurred before
and has no relation to the booking type.

BTW: All actual hours already entered are still avaliable for reporting
purposes after setting the booking type to "proposed".
