CMYK Colors in MS Word XP

I

Ian

I need to be able to define my colours in terms of their CMYK Values not RGB.
This is in Word XP. This is for fonts, and fill colors etc.

You can use CMYK in packages like Quark, Photoshop, but how about in Word??

Anyone know if this is possible, or if there is a plugin that can be
downloaded??

Thanks

Hi Ian,

I typed in "cmyk colors" (include quotes) and got over 11,00 hits. There
are some sites that convert RGB to CMYK and vice-versa. You probably will
find something that helps you out.

Hi Ian,

Are you looking to match onscreen
color with printing?

The 'direct' support for CMYK in MS Word
is basically limited to the ability to handle
TIFF (8bit) and JPEG files that have CMYK value
definitions in them and representing them
with RGB.

MS Office Publisher does support CMYK as it
can prepare color separation plates for printing.

Some print houses offer to do an RGB to CMYK
conversion for Word documents as part of their
service.

If you're using Pantone colors there is an
add-in available for MS Office
