Code/script for Custom fields to trigger appt. in Outlook 2003

Is there a code or script written somewhere that will act like the
'birthday/anniversary' in Outlook, that when a date is entered in the custom
field, it will trigger an appt in the calendar?

Also, when using a separate data file, birthdays/anniversaries go to my main
calendar, rather than this data file calendar. Any way to change that?
