Collaboration Problem

Bill

All our Project Managers have Windows authentication and they have had no problem getting into either Web Access or MS Project Professional 2002 using their Windows user accounts. However, when they open one of their projects in Project Professional and go to Collaborate and click on Documents or Issues, they get a dialog box requesting their User ID, passwork, and domain. Even when this information is correctly entered, the dialog box always re-appears and requests the password again. The result is that the Project Managers are unable to use Documents or Issues through Project Professional. Any information or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Check to make sure that the local OWS groups exist for the project plan
subweb...if that looks strange....Check the STSAdmin account and make sure
it is OK....you may have to re-run the COM+ utility...

Documents and Issues are part of the SharePoint Servcies.
Are you running Sharepoint on a different server then the
web server you're using for PWA?? Possibly the Sharepoint
server hasn't been marked as a trusted site???

Thank you for your suggestion. I think you are correct, it must be a sharepoint problem since we don't have a problem getting to Resource Center or any of the other options.

If the server was not a trusted site...it is unlikely that you would even be
able to logon through PWA or the PSclient....
Maybe one of the MVP's will jump in here...

Bill,

On the system that is running Pro, use IE to browse to the
PWA Site and WSS Site and make sure that both are trusted.
