Collapse Blank Space

I am trying to create a word template using fields from a database. The
fields merge no problem, however, if there is no data in the source database,
word automatically collapses the space where the data would be, throwing the
rest of my document out of whack! Any Help greatly appreceiated!

I believe that if you use the Mail Merge Helper that was a feature of
earlier versions of Word and can be accessed via Tools Customize, you can
then control what happens when a field is empty.
