Collapse Tabs in Notebook View

I am having trouble because I every time I open my Work Notebook (a
notebook layout MS Word Document I use at work) all the tabs that I
had collapsed are expanded. each day I add a new line with many levels
and collapse that day's tab at the end. However, when I open up the
document the next time, all the lines are expanded. Anyone know how to
change this very annoying feature, other than buying Omni Outliner???
Thanks!

You could steal Omni Outliner?

Seriously: Investigate "Outline View" in Word: it's much more stable and
designed for this kind of industrial-strength application.

Use the built-in "Heading 1" through "Heading 9" styles and Outline View
will go to thousands of pages without any untoward effects.

Cheers
