Collection VIEW index

Is there a way to obtain the index on the view (screen) so that it can
be matched programmatically to the corresponding index of the
repeating table collection? I have buttons on the header of a
repeating table that I want to use to add data to the CURRENT field on
the array. How do I determine where the cursor is so when I iterate
through the collection (repeating table collection) I can match the
current position with the right field?
