Color By Values Not working properly!

I am trying to do the color by values in space plans.I am using 'L' shaped
work station over here. The problem is whenever I am rotating the workstation
to a particular direction it is not taking the color. For example all
workstation facing upward is colored while all the work station facing
downward is not colored.
That time if I check the FillForegnd properties of the uncolored shape I
could see '1'.But that time if I click on that L shape and then if I click
the color by values button it shows 'red' which is perfect but it is not
showing either in the drawing or in the ShapeSheet. But it is worth to notice
if I rotate the L shape and then apply the colorByValues it is taking the
particular color and the ShapeSheet is also getting updated at the same time.
Please suggest why it is happening so!
Advance Thanks for your valuable solution.

I can see the problem you describe - although sometimes I see the correct
color assignment, even when the shapes are rotated similarly. I also tried
forcing a particular color first, before applying the Color By Value, and
still see poor results. Thanks for letting us know about this - I can file
the issue.

By the way - the Space Plan 'Color By Value' feature is from older
versions, but you can also try using the similar capability if you have
Visio 2007. We have the new Data Graphics feature added to Visio Pro 2007,
and Color By Value is one of the options there. I tested the scenario you
described with the 2007 Data Graphics for Color By Value, and it looks like
it is working as expected. One note - there is no automatic Legend feature
yet, so you would have to build your legend manually.
