color change

I created a chart in Excel and each column from column 4 & up are highlighted
with a different color
I’m trying to create a “formula†for the following:
when I enter any data in a cell in a specific column (i.e. #500 in D4) the
whole row (meaning the information I entered in the first 3 columns, in row
4) should automatically change to the color from column D.

you may have a look at 'Format - conditional Format' for this. The only
other option would be using VBA (there's no 'formula' for this)
