Color coding calendar entries in Outlook

We have a shared mailbox in Outlook that my team uses. We really like the
calendar within this mailbox. We are trainers so we schedule all of our
workshops on this shared calendar so that the entire team and our supervisor
can use it.
We have each chosen a label color and we color code our events for easy
viewing.
I have found a problem and am wondering if anyone else has experienced it or
if there is a fix?
When color coding many events at one time all of a sudden my event will
disappear. If I log out of Outlook and come back in my event will reappear
but then when I go on to the next one it too will disappear. I am
experiencing this today as I work on a recurring event that is scheduled out
through the remainder of the year. I will be taking it for one month my
cowork the next. So I am going through and applying a label to each week - my
event keeps disappearing.
Any help is appreciated.
