Color coding incoming emails

Steph

my boss would like me to color code her incoming emails so
that if she is listed in the "to" line it will show up
Blue in the in box, meaning she must respond to this
email. If she is just "cc'd" she would like it to come in
to her in box pink in color so she knows it is not
urgent. Any ideas? I've searched and searched and can
not figure it out! I know it's possible because another
person does have it on their computer but did it so long
ago they can't remember how they did it! Any suggestions
would be MOST appreciated! Thanks much! :)

Open Tools->Organize. You can use the button for using Colors and then the
advanced options to set the conditions.

After searching google.groups.com and finding no answer, Steph asked:

You can try using the Organize feature for this -- click the Organize button
on the toolbar (or on the Tools menu) and click the Using Colors tab on the
left. If you can't get the desired results through the Organize Using
Colors function, you might want to click the Automatic Formatting link at
the top right of the Organize pane, and that will let you use advanced
options to colorize messages based on the criteria you set.

use Outlook 2003... and make some rules (Tools/Rules and Alerts).. in the
rules you can use "flag message with a colored flag"

The Automatic Formatting options for customizing a view can be used to do
that. View, Current View, either customize current view or define view.
Click on the Automatic Formatting button. Formatting can be defined on a
rules type basis including font colors.
