What exactly do you mean by "use ... in conjunction"? If you want CF to
highlight failed validation, you need to use the same criteria in both
places.

If you are wondering how to use CF try Googling "excel conditional
formatting" for lots of ideas, or post back if you have a more specific
question.

You can copy the conditional formating by copying the cell with the CF select
the destination cell(s) and then use PasteSpecial with the option format.
