color my font please

I am using MS Office publisher 2003 to create a newsletter. I am using
lines, text boxes and objects that I have used the fill option to pick a
certain green.

Some of my text is using the same green.

On the computer screen both font and objects look to be the same green.

I used the standard colors in both font and fill

When I convert the newsletter to a pdf - both are the same green on the
computer screen

When I print either the publisher copy or the pdf the font turns to a darker
green -

SO where they both appeared to be grass green on the computer - in print the
font is kelly green and the graphic is the correct grass green

why is one different than the other and how do I change the printed font to
the correct color?

It will be how your printer is rendering the color. I don't think you can get
absolutely true colors with desk top printers. You might try some calibrations
but I doubt it will help if you are already getting different results using the
same fill color.

Have you tried different fonts with different weights? Times will print lighter
than Arial.

I am using a laser printer and like I stated the graphics, objects, lines and
text boxes print the right color of green, it is the font that does not. I
would be ok - if only the graphics and text would print the same color

Unfortunately I am too far into the format of the 8 page newsletter to
change font and then have to go and re-format everything

If this is the case then you are not setting up your publication
correctly. You should be able to change the font of all the body text
with a small number of clicks, to adjust the font of the Body Text style.

certainly that can be a discussion for another time/post/topic, perhaps I
mis-used the word "format"

I wrote in response to the option of using a different font because perhaps
the fonts I used were reason for the difference in color while printing. I
am using Century Gothic and Arial for the bulk of my text. I swapped some of
the green text for Times New Roman and it still print the wrong green color.

I really need the solution to the printing color errors

I created a publication with all sorts of fonts and font weight all filled with
the regular green. I have round, square and odd shaped objects as well as
different type lines and arrows. It all printed correctly. Have you considered
the nozzles in your printer might be partially clogged.

Use a color picker, maybe you can adjust the font color manually. A free one
here; it is very small.

RGB and text as CMYK?

I don't think that's even possible. Do you have your publication set up
as CMYK or as RGB?
