Silver is a metallic color. About the best any printer will be able to do is
just a different shade of grey. There are sheets that can be used in
conjuction with your home printer to lay a fine layer of a metallic sheet.
Paper Direct sells that.

Depending on the "silver" you are trying to emulate you need to use Pantone
Cool Gray 3 or 8. "Silver" would be a metallic color that you can't print
except for on a printing press because that ink actually has metal (or mica)
flakes in it to give it that "silvery" appearance. Even then with *most*
printers your gray won't come out "gray". It will come out looking either
slightly brown, slightly blue or slightly red. Maybe even greenish. The
reason is that most consumer printers don't print gray with the black
cartridge, they print gray by combining portions of cyan, magenta and
yellow. The net effect is a brownish color.
