Column Headings from Numbers back to Letters

Why do my excel randomly open a document with numbers for the column
headings instead of the usual letters?

How can I fix it and change it back?

Hi

This option is determined by the first book that is opened. One (or more) of
your books must have this setting - hence your problem.
You need to find this book, change the option, and save.
