Excel used to have lettered columns but this new version I'm using has numbered columns. Does anyone know how I can get my lettered columns back?

Tools > Options > General tab
Uncheck R1C1 reference style.

This is not a change between versions but a setting that has always been
there. In your Excel for some reason it is now set differently.

Adam,

Go to the Tools menu, choose Options then the General tab.
There, uncheck the "R1C1 reference style" setting.
