Columns in Access Reports

Hallo,
I am new user, using Access 2000. I have created a report using groups
displayed in column format. This works okay.
What I cannot find out is how to keep the groups together in the same column.
I know this will make the report look messy but it is more important to keep
the group data together than it is for the report to look neat. Additionally
the use of columns enables me to keep the report on one page which is another
important consideration.
