Columns

I am trying to get a column to keep numbers in sequence.
For ex: The numbers are in sequence, then a row is
removed, the rest of the column should remain in
numerique sequence. I am talking about the first or the A
Column.Is there a formula that will do the job for me? I
need it to keep the same number even if a row is added or
subtracted. Confused? Please help

if you have 1 in A1 and "=A1+1" in cell A2 etc...from A2 to A1000 , this is
a sequence..
if you remove the line 5, all numbers below are still correct.
