Duplicate Mail Merge Record Every Time

Hi There,

I am using Word and Excel 2013. For a long time I had no issues using mail merge daily to create labels. At one point, I started to get an extra record and now it is happening every time.

In my first row, the first record prints out an extra time and then the rest of the sheet of labels is fine.

Its driving me crazy as occasionally I mislabel things that I am doing in sequence.

The first label does not have "next record" and the rest of the cells in the table do.

Please help!

Your description suggests there's a duplicate record in the data source.

The first line on the source, gets created twice. The first and second labels are identical.

Try clicking 'Update Labels', then re-running the merge.
