Columns

Hello,

I have Word XP. When I create to columns and I want to
enter text into the second column, I have to go to the
end of column one and then enter the information. Is there
another way that I can get to the second column without
going to the end of the first column. Also when work with
the columns in page view I can't see the actual setup of
the columns unless I go to preview.

Thanks for your assistance,

Jessica

Two columns will show up only in Print Layout View. If you are working in
Normal view, you will see only one long column. You speak of "page view" but
I don't recognize that term. Look at the small icons in the bottom left
corner of your Word screen.

Thanks Richard for such a fast reply.

Richard is it possible for me to create my columns first
and go from left to right?

Also, while in my 20 page document I have attempt to
insert 2 columns within the document. What eventually
happens when I insert the 2 columns my entire document
changes to two columns. Is there are work around.

Thanks,

Jessica

For this type of column layout, use a two column table without borders.

I accidently hit the send key.

However, I have tried using the table and I get to much
space in between the cells that cannot be deleted because
of all of the other information within in the cell.

Thanks,

Jessica
