COLUMNS

DCP

Instead of using a table, I wish to use columns to enter text (instead of tabbing). What I need to know is: how do I switch between columns to enter data and back again to the first. Example:

(Column 1) (Column 2)
1984 (After entering this date I need to swap to Column 2 to enter the event) The bread baked in the oven.

And after editing in Column 2, I need to get back to Column 1 again.

Thanks.

Columns in a Word document are intended to be used for continuous
newspaper style columns. I suspect you'll find a borderless Word table
far easily to navigate and modify.

Just create your two column Word table (Insert/Table), select the
table and press Alt + Ctrl + U to remove the printed borders. You'll
still see faint grey lines (gridlines) but they do not print and can
be removed from view under Tools/Hide Gridlines.
