combining multiple document types in one file?

What I’m really wanting is a file that holds all the documents for each
project that I do. there will be several excel pages that are linked to a
master file (that would not be in the zip file) would the references on those
pages work if they were zipped?

I will have hundreds of projects to save

right now I’m using a system of folders : (1) for drawings (PDF, DWG, or
DXF), (1) for correspondence (word, or Excel), (1) for Pictures

I then assign a number to each project and save the files accordingly

but I would like to be able to find the needed files faster and more
conveniently

There's nothing that's going to allow you to do that. You could convert
everything to a .pdf file but that's not goiong to do what you think you'd
like to be able to do.

I don't know. I just installed it on my home computer last night but haven't
even fired it up.

ZipFolder or Zip files will do that.
