combo box

I work in access 97. I have some combo boxes with very long entries in them
and the user can not see the end of the entry. I tried to make the combo as
wide as possible but still need a room for some names on the list. I am
trying to allow the user to see the full name on the status bar when he has
the mouse over the selection. is there a way to do this. thanks

Have you tried increasing "List Width" on the Properties format tab

In Access 2003 that works - do not know about 97 but worth a try.
