combo boxto update fields in form

Is there a way to have you choose an item from the dropdown combo box which
will change everything else in the form according to what is stored in the
table/query associated with that form? There was another explanation before
but it involved code and that is just too complicated for me. I need things
to be spelled out so please be precise. Thank you!
